Pastor & Missionary Manuel Mendoza
Born in Cuba, Pastor Manuel Mendoza faithfully served as a pastor in Cuba and in New York, USA. After retiring from pastoring, he moved to Tampa Bay, Florida, and in 2003, God placed a new mission on his heart. He began building simple wooden offering boxes and placing them in local churches across Tampa Bay. Week after week, he collected the offerings from faithful congregations and traveled to Cuba to personally gift them to missionaries serving vulnerable communities. Magdiel Mendoza worked alongside his father - supporting the ministry, sharing the burden and the blessing of the work. In 2012 Pastor Manuel Mendoza passed away, leaving behind a powerful legacy of faith, compassion and dedication to the Gospel.
In 2021, his son Magdiel Mendoza picked up the legacy with renewed purpose, continuing his vision to serve those
pastors, missionaries and church families in need.
In 2024, that humble beginning was officially founded as Heart of Compassion International Inc. — 501(c)(3) Non-profit Religious Organization now expanding humanitarian aid to churches and families, weekly churches community kitchens, while sharing the Love of Jesus.
